Better Gas installs and replaces heat interface units across London, on new communal schemes and on older blocks where the original units are past economic repair. We work with the major manufacturers and will match the replacement to the network you already have rather than to whatever is on the shelf.
Installation And Replacement
• Survey of the existing network, flow and return temperatures and pressures
• Unit selection sized to the flat, not to the block average
• Like for like swaps kept inside the existing pipework where possible
• Isolation and drain down planned so residents lose the least time
• Commissioning, heat meter registration and handover pack
• Resident demonstration and a written record for the managing agent
Planned Programmes For Blocks
Replacing HIUs across a block is a logistics job as much as a plumbing one. We programme the work flat by flat, give residents fixed appointment windows, and keep the network live for everyone who is not being worked on that day. Emergency cover for the units already changed runs from the first day of the programme.
